ATV Covers

I never thought I really had a need for an ATV cover until I was on an ATV camping trip with my friends. After riding all day we finally arrived at our campsite and started to setup camp. Well after we got our tents setup it started to rain and let me tell you this was no little sprinkle, it rained buckets and the wind was blowing so hard I thought my tent and I were going to get blown away. I kept peeking out the tent to make sure my buddies were still secure in their tents and noticed my ATV, chair, camping stove & utensils, cooler and a couple of other items were really taking a beating from the wind and rain. After the rain let up we all got out of our tents to assess the damage and there were items blown all over the place. Some of the coolers and chairs had blown over and were soaked, my bag with paper plates, bread, and other dry food was soaked and ruined. That night after we got the campsite cleaned up, we sat around the campfire, in our wet chairs, talking about the rain storm and one of the guys mention how he should have brought his ATV cover to cover his ATV and other items not usually stored in his tent. We all commented how great an idea this was and have since now carried one on our ATV camping adventures.
Now when I go ATV camping, a good durable ATV cover is part of the inventory and has proven to be a vital part of the camping gear and equipment as not only does it protect the ATV, you can also put several other items, cooler, stove, food, and chairs under the cover for protection as well making it a great investment to have on your ATV camping adventure. There are several types of ATV storage covers to choose from, there is the basic cover, camouflage covers, cover/rack bag combination and heavy duty covers to protect your ATV while traveling on a trailer. These last covers are specially designed for protecting the ATV from mud, rain, and snow while loaded on a trailer traveling down a dirt road or highway. For winter use there is an ATV cabin to keep you dry and shielded from the wind, rain, and snow. A good durable ATV cabin will also help keep your ATV protected from the elements. ATV Cabins provide ample inside storage and dry comfort for the rider for plowing snow and they are available in camouflage for hunting in rainy or snowy conditions. So if you are like I was and thought an ATV cover was only for keeping the dust off of your ATV as it sat in your garage, your wrong and like I found out, it is a versatile and protective piece of gear to have for an ATV camping adventure..
